We at Lodge St James strive to provide you (the client) with the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. Whether you are looking for a hall hire or a room hire, we may have the facilities you are looking for.
We have two rooms available for hire, the Main Hall and the Dugald Dobie Room.
Hall hire our Main Hall
The Main Hall is large enough to seat 300 people in a theatre style formation and 200 people at tables in a banquet style layout. As the seating numbers suggest the room is large, 20 x 15 metres with a timber floor, which is ideal for dancing. Accompanied with the hall hire is the use of a piano, tables, chairs, stage, the use of a bar and kitchen. The room is air-conditioned so your stay will be both enjoyable and comfortable.

The Dugald Dobie Room Hire
The Dugald Dobie Room is smaller than the Main Hall measuring 6 x 6.5 metres, ideal for smaller events or meetings. The room is able to seat 90 people in a theatre style configuration and 80 people in a dinner layout. It is equipped with air-conditioning and has a kitchen attached.

When you make a request for a booking of either the Main Hall hire or the Dugald Dobie room hire using the form below, it will be received by our venue manager. If the date and times requested are available we can accept the booking. However, please note: The booking is not finalised until an invoice is issued to you and all payments are received . If you are booking either venue for a company and wish the invoice to be completed addressing your company name please ensure you indicate this in the “Other details / request” field.
Prior to any decision to accept your booking we at Lodge St James must ensure that both the time and the purpose for usage is acceptable. We reserve the right to decline requests at any time, especially those which may put our building at risk, increase the risk of disruption to our neighbours or bring our us or the building into disrepute without any responsibility for any loss arising from the booking.
Please note, it is essential that the group organising the hall hire have insurance for its participants attending the event. We have insurance to cover the building, but we do require people attending to be insured by the hiring organisation.
