Join us at the Wallsend Bunnings store for an impromptu sausage sandwich feast! We are rearing cash for Soul Cafe and would welcome your donations, so when you rock up for your home improvement job, come and help other folks significantly less fortunate than our own selves and obtain a feast! Soul Cafe’s function is to supply just less than 1000 meals per week to seriously disadvantaged people in our local community. Several of these people are either homeless, have emotional health problems, are afflicted by drug misuse or live in serious poverty.

Helpers needed, so please come along and lend a hand to serve those sausage sandwiches to the masses!

Why all of us love the infamous sausage sandwich

Now, lets be honest…. we Aussies enjoy a sausage sandwich. There is a unique aroma of the Barbecue when you enter in the place that stirs the ʚir and creates that cravings for food – a sensation which you never knew you had. The unusual charred snag with a bit of onion, kept cosy with a slice of fresh white bread dripping together with the sauce of preference. Could there be anything at all greater? Generally prepared for the punter to cease their cravings for food pangs throughout the day – though, lets tell the truth, you never have to be feeling hungry to enjoy a fantastic sausage sizzle! The great thing about our fundraising event is that as you tuck into the dream sausage sizzle, you will not only be quelling your hunger but you will also be helping people in need, so you can be further fulfilled knowing you are helping your community too!

Perhaps the biggest question throughout the day on the countertop in our sausage sizzle stall will be: Should the cut be diagonal or straight….. oh the choices of lifestyle! In fact, this really is a common issue that may be perplexing the land as documented on news.com.au.

So it’s a seriously hot day and the boys are cooking up a storm. Lots of people wanting to taste their creations. Hopefully we will have raised some serious money for the Soul Cafe. So far the verdict is out regarding the straight or diagonal cut. Stay tuned for the amount we managed to raise. Soon to come is a picture of the boys at work
